Chapter 1
Your nose was in a book… again. It didn’t bother you one bit since you loved them and everything but it did bother your Aunt Celeste. Well, the subject bothered her, not the reading. She just wished for you to be smart, but not on the subjects you studied. To her they were fictional and could never be. To you they were your world and nothing could change that.
“Jasmine Hebet get your nose out of the filthy book!” Celeste snapped as she grabbed the book and closed it.
You blinked before looking up at Celeste with a frown. “I was studying.”
Celeste frowned at you. “This garbage is nothing to be studying.” She brought the book in front of her and read the title before looking back at you. “Why on earth are you so fascinated with vampires and werewolves? They are not real and reading stuff about them pulls you closer to the devil.”
You glared. “I was further studying the difference between my beliefs of what vampires and werewolves are to those beliefs of Hollywood and ancient legends.”
Celeste pursed her lips. “Well no more in my house! You can get back to studying this junk when you go back to living with your foolish Aunt Tala-Uli!”
You sighed. “I am glad I am going to be moving back in with her tonight then.” Standing up you took your book back and headed up the stairs to you room.
You glanced around the room. Small desk with a small chair accompanying it, a springy bed with plain brown blankets and flat pillows with lighter brown pillow cases, a small two drawer dresser, a broken mirror, a closet with no hanger rack and a black suitcase on top of the bed. Just how it had always been when you ever visited, except for the suit case.
Sighing again you placed the book on the desk before opening one of the drawers and pulling out some already folded clothes before placing them into the suitcase.
“I won’t ever need to come to this place again.” You murmured to yourself before moving onto the next drawer.
Once finished you closed the suitcase before sitting on the bed beside it and grabbing your book, opening to the page you had originally been reading.
‘Why does no one write about the truths of vampires or werewolves…?” you asked yourself as you lay back and continued to read, your mind else were than the book. ‘There are so many things that are wrong or not said…. And so many questions I would like answered… Like the one that has plagued my mind for years now….’ You looked up at the ceiling. ‘I wonder what would happen to a werewolf that was bit by a vampire during the exact first time they ever started to change into their wolf form…’
“Jasmine grab your stuff and get down here, your aunt is here to get you!” Celeste’s voice broke your train of thought.
You blinked. “It’s already been long enough for aunt Tala to get here….” You sighed as you closed your book and picked up your suitcase by the handle and headed out of the room and down the stairs.
Tala smiled and pulled you into a tight hug as you reached the bottom of the stairs. “Come on. It’s a long drive to our new home.” She took your luggage and led you outside to the car.
You smiled softly as you reached the car and opened the door before climbing in and bucking in.
It was nothing too special. The car was a 2000 dark blue Saturn that was covered in a thick coat of dirt. The windows were only slightly tinted, not needed in what was now starting to become the dark night, while the seats were all faded black leather. The stereo was new, as well as the antenna, but everything else was the same.
Tala placed your things in the trunk before walking to the driver’s side and climbing in. “I hope Celeste wasn’t too mean and hard on you.”
You shrugged slightly as you yawned. “Just mean and wouldn’t let me read what I wanted to read.”
Tala nodded as she put her seatbelt on and began to drive.
Knowing it would take a while to get from Yakima to Forks you leaned back against your seat and pulled the recliner lever. Yawning softly you turned on your side and allowed yourself to drift off to sleep.

Chapter 2
You yawned and opened your eyes slowly. Sitting up and rubbing your eyes you noted that you were no longer in the car but in a soft bed. Looking around the room you smiled to yourself.
You had two oak dressers, each with six drawers. You knew they were filled with all of the clothes you hadn’t taken to your Aunt Celeste’s house. In between the dressers were a black desk and a tall bamboo book shelf, each shelf filled with your reading and studying materials, such as books on vampires and werewolves and different romance stories having to do with either of the two. At the desk were your laptop, your alarm clock, and your stereo and lava lamp. Your closet was a lot larger than the one at your other aunts and you knew it to be filled with all of your shirts, dresses, shoes, skates and rollerblades. All along your walls were your many posters. Most of them were hand drawn. There was also a self going around half of the room with various items set on it. Your dried roses, picture frames with the pictures of your old friends, a dagger with wolves on the hilt, various figurines, a few special boxes with different items within them, your small black guitar, fake flowers, candles, and some box sets of different anime.
Stretching you got out of bed, noting that the carpet was a deep red and very thick so it was comfortable to your sensitive feet. Turning around you made up your bed, soon realizing that it was a queen sized water bed with multiple black pillows with red bats sewn in and a thick black blanket with a red wolf etched into it.
You glanced at your alarm clock and smiled to yourself. It was five in the morning. Stretching again you walked over to the closet and pulled out a black shirt with the word Amore all over it in purple in no particular arranged order. Tugging off the shirt you had worn before you threw it to a hamper that was in the closet before putting the new shirt on.
You tugged the hair out of your shirt as you walked over to the dresser and opened one of the drawers. Rummaging through it you pulled out a pair of dark blue-grey denim jeans. You placed the jeans on the bed and closed the drawer before pulling off your pants and placing them in the hamper. Grabbing the jeans n the bed you pulled them on before going to a new drawer and rummaging in it for a pair of black socks. After pulling the socks on your went back to the closet and pulled out a pair of black buckle up boots and pulled them on.
You took a quick look at yourself in the mirror before finding a big hair clip and pulling your long dark brown hair into a high ponytail like bun with different strands of hair cascaded freely.
Walking out of your room you placed your hand on the wall and started to head to the stairs. Of course your room was located on the top most floor of the three stories home. Heading down this flight of stairs you turned down a hall before reaching the next set of stairs. This flight of stairs led straight to the kitchen.
Half way down the stairs you heard your Aunt Tala and your Uncle Felan speaking to each other.
“I think she’ll freak out when she finds out…” Felan stated.
“I don’t think so. She already has a fascination for it all. I am sure she will take it well when she finds out.” Tala stated.
“Why don’t we just tell her and see the reaction?” Felan asked.
“You know the rules! We can’t tell her.” From the sound of Tala’s voice she was frowning.
“Can’t tell me what?” You asked as you entered the kitchen.
Felan looked at you and opened his mouth to speak before Tala interrupted him.
“It’s nothing.” Tala stated as she sent a small glare at Felan.
You frowned but nodded. ‘Some wolves are just…Gah!’
You blinked at your own thought. Leaning against the wall you let your mind wander before blinking a few times. “Why on earth do you two show signs of being werewolves!?” Of course, that had been going though your mind since you read a book written by your great grandmother. Her book actually seemed accurate to your mind.
“Ah ha, now we can tell her everything!” Felan smirked at Tala.
Tala blinked and stared at you. “How long did--- How did you---?” she asked, not able to finish either question.
You blinked at them. “I was right… Our family is filled with werewolves?”
Tala sighed. “Come sit down… Looks like we now have to explain everything…”
You nodded slowly and walked over, taking a seat between them.
Felan smirked. “I think I will start off. Everyone within our family belongs to the Hebet Wolf Pack. You see, everyone on our side of the family has wolf blood in them, making them werewolves. Most people in our families first phase around the age of 14---”
You interrupted him. “Except for me, I haven’t phased yet.” You frowned and bit your lip.
Tala shook her head. “Jasmine… You have phased but you no longer can.” She leaned back in her chair. “You first phased when you were five… It happened when your parents died.”
You froze before looking at them in disbelief. “What?”
Felan shifted so he was closer to you before pulling you into a side hug. “Now is the time we have to explain to you what happened…”
You frowned, not liking the way that sounded.
“Jasmine, when you were five your parents were attacked. Back then you used to dance around and exclaim how you couldn’t wait to be old enough to become a wolf. Your parents had been watching you play in front of the couch when five vampires attacked. Your father had hidden you behind one of the chairs as they fought. Your parents put up a pretty good fight but began to loose. Hearing and seeing the fight made you frightened... The next thing you would have seen was the dead motionless bodies of your parents. I think from then you got really angry… And you began to phase…”
Felan took over. “When you began to phase into your wolf form one of the vampires attacked you, biting you on the left shoulder. After that Tala and I got there. We were able to chase them away.”
“When we got back to you, you were lying on the floor curled up in a ball. We took you in after. You forgot entirely of all of it. You forgot that werewolves were real, that vampires were real, and that vampires killed your parents and everything. You hadn’t phased since that day. We started to believe that the vampire and werewolf sides of you canceled each other out.” Tala stated.
“Until a few months back when your vampire side awakened and you had to feed… That’s why we relocated to Forks.” Felan finished as he hugged you tighter.
“…So vampires are the reason I don’t have my parents any more…. And the reason I can no longer change into a wolf?” You closed your eyes tightly and bit your lip as tears formed in your eyes.
“Jasmine, your vampire side awakened. That means there is a high chance that your wolf side may awaken soon too.” Tala smiled softly before standing up and grabbing a bowl and a sthingy and setting it on the table. “We just don’t know when that will be.” She murmured as she grabbed a box of cereal and the jug of milk.
You nodded slowly. A sad and pained look was in your eyes as you watched Tala pour you some breakfast.
“Come on Jasmine, cheer up a bit. You are going to school to meet new people and you will get to change into a wolf soon, I promise.” Felan smiled as he let you go. “Now eat.”
You looked up at Felan for a moment before eating the cereal. You paused. “I hate vampires…”
Tala nodded. “That’s understandable. You may be part vampire but that doesn’t mean you can’t hate them.”
You sighed and nodded before continuing to eat your breakfast.

Chapter 3
Any normal person would be shaken. Then again, any person would be shaken to find out they are a hybrid. You were shaken, but not on the outside. You knew you still had school to worry about… and other classes outside of school.
You leaned your head back slightly as you got on your motorcycle. Your Uncle Felan had worked days to fix your motorbike after he trashed it pretty badly… This only led him to buying you a new, yet better, motorbike with a nice helmet.
Smiling to yourself you looked ahead of you and started your bike. The sky was clear, making you start to be happier. You knew that it would most likely be an unusual sunny day in Forks. Of course this meant that you could be outside while working on your bike and adding the extra bits that had been on your last bike.
Riding down the road you finally reached the town and headed in the direction the school was in. You blinked as you noticed that all of the vehicles in the parking lot were pretty old.
‘Looks like I’ll be standing out a bit…’ You thought as you parked your bike beside an old rusted red Chevy. Sighing, you put the key in your pocket as you got off the bike. Taking your helmet off and putting it on top of the seat you began to walk to the front office.
Upon entering the office you noted the secretary typing away at her computer. The secretary had red hair and glasses. She glanced up at me over her glasses; the look she gave you told you she probably already knew who you were, but you told her your name anyway.
She smiled as she pulled out a stack of papers, showing me my schedule and a map of the school.”Now, at the end of the day when you have this paper signed by all of your teachers bring it back to me. I hope you like living in Forks and coming to this school.”
You nodded slightly and waved over your shoulder slightly as you headed out of the office. Glancing down at your schedule you sighed and headed to your first class.
~*~Hours Later ~ Lunch~*~
A tall – well, just about everyone was taller than you from what you could tell… There were the few who were shorter but that didn’t happen often from your 5’1 – blonde haired boy who had introduced himself as Mike led you to the cafeteria. He had invited you to sit with him and his friends at his table. You had to admit that he was cute, but he didn’t seem to be very interested in you like that. It didn’t matter much to you anyway. You weren’t exactly looking for someone and the puppy kind of guy just wasn’t for you, from what you knew anyway.
At the table Mike led you too sat a few familiar faces – well, most of them – but one. There was Jessica, a black haired girl about an inch or so taller than you, Angela, the shyest of people you had met, Eric, a boy with slicked black hair, Ben, whom you had been earlier introduced to by Angela, and Jenna, a short brown haired girl. The rest you didn’t know, but one caught your eye for some dumb reason. It was as if to you like she knew some great secret. Her hair was long and brown and she looked to be about 5’4.
“Hey guys, this is Jasmine Hebet.” Mike introduced as he took a seat next to Jessica.
Eric sent you a smile. “How’s your day been so far?”
You just shrugged and furrowed your eyebrows as you sent a quick glance at the brown haired girl.
The girl looked up at you with a small smile. “Hi, I’m Bella Swan.”
You blinked. “Isn’t your dad Charlie Swan?”
Bella nodded. “Yes… why?”
You leaned back in your seat. “My aunt is going out with your dad…”
Bella blinked. “In other words you are Tala-Uli’s niece?”
I nodded to this. “Yup, I’m living with her and my uncle Felan.”
Angela spoke up, asking the one question you hated to answer. “Why don’t you live with your parents?”
You frowned and looked at the table. From the past few places you had lived anyone who knew your parents were dead mocked you for having to live with an aunt and uncle who would live in the same house no matter what, all because they couldn’t stand to have the other not near. Of course, that was caused because they were twins, and in the same werewolf pack.
Bella frowned and reached over, placing a hand on your shoulder. “You don’t have to tell us.”
You looked up and smiled weakly. “Thank you…”
Bella smiled back. “It’s okay and you’re welcome. Hm, why don’t you come over to my place to hand out? Angela and Jessica are coming too.”
You thought about it for a moment before frowning and shaking your head, remembering what you were supposed to do right after school. “I would… Sadly I have to go down to La Push to meet some of my uncle’s friends. Sorry Bella.”
Bella nodded. “Okay, how about another night?”
You smiled and nodded. “That’s fine by me.”
~*~After School ~ At La Push~*~
You sighed took of your helmet and placed it on the bike before rubbing your temples. To be truthful, you had no idea why you had to come down to La Push. You could only guess what your uncle wanted you to do down there.
You were near the beach since Felan had asked you to meet him at the beach. Of course, that didn’t mean you were going to drive all the way to the beach, so you stopped a little ways away. You liked to walk and run… a lot.
You frowned as you shaded your eyes from the sun. “It really is un-naturally sunny today for Forks…” you muttered as you pulled out a pair of sunglasses and put them on. With this done you started walking down the path to the beach. It didn’t take very long for you to reach it. You blinked when you spotted Felan with a few very tall and built boys.
Felan looked up at you before calling you over. “Jasmine, Get your butt over here!”
You rolled your eyes behind your shades as you began to jog down to him and the few boys. Once you reached them Felan wrapped one of his arms around your shoulder in a friendly side hug.
“Jasmine, this is Sam, Quil, Embry and Jacob. They are some friends of Tala and I.” Felan introduced in his cheery voice.
You raised an eyebrow at him, noting how cheery he was. Sure it was normal but he hadn’t been like this before you found out about the family. You shook it off before taking a closer look at the boys before you. You froze once you got to the boy he had called Jacob. Your heart beat quickened as you stared at him. You had already deducted that they were all werewolves, meaning they could each probably hear your heart.
“It’s nice to meet you Jasmine.” Sam stated as he held out a hand.
You finally stopped staring at Jacob as you looked at Sam and shook his head. “Like wise.”
Quil, Embry and Jacob each said their hello’s after this.
You bit you lip and looked at the ground as you took off your sunglasses before looking back up at Jacob, hoping to get a clearer look at him. You lips slightly parted as your breathing hitched.
Jacob looked at you once he felt your stare. His eyes caught your and you two stared at each other as if there was nothing and no one else around you two.
Quil and Embry gave each other knowing looks. They both smirked as they looked at Jacob, a slight teasing look in their eyes.
Sam and Felan glanced at each other before Felan nodded.
“Jasmine, we better get going home.” Felan stated.
Your head snapped in Felan’s direction before you nodded slightly. “Alright…” you glanced at Jacob as Felan lead you up the beach towards your bike, noticing his small frown.
“See you Jasmine!” Embry called, smirking as he looked at Jacob.
You sighed as you turned around ad looked ahead of were you were walking. “Uncle Felan…?” You asked once you two reached your bike.
“Yes?” Felan looked at you with worry as he pulled you into a hug.
“Is it possible for me to imprint even though the vampire venom and werewolf blood canceled each other out?” You asked; voice soft. You were pretty sure you had imprinted on Jacob.
Felan shook his head. “I wouldn’t know. Tala might so we can ask her once we get home.”
You nodded slightly as you got on your bike and put your helmet on.
~*~With Jacob~*~
“It’s about time you imprinted!” Quil exclaimed.
“I don’t know if I imprinted or not.” Jacob snapped as he glared at Quil and Embry. They both had grins on their faces.
Sam looked at Jacob before glancing in the direction you and Felan had gone. “You did imprint Jacob.” He frowned. “I know what it’s like to imprint… And you just imprinted on my best friends niece. I hope you don’t get yourself into trouble concerning her.”
“I won’t do anything stupid.” Jacob growled. He looked in the direction you had gone. Your face burned in his mind.
~*~ Next Day at School~*~
You yawned softly as you made your way to the cafeteria. You hadn’t gotten much sleep last night so you had worked on your bike until it began to rain. Once that happened you were able to actually get in bed and go to sleep, but only for an hour before your alarm had gone off. Jacob had been on your mind through every hour you had spent since you had seen him. It was driving you insane and you didn’t like it one bit. You hadn’t been able to concentrate on your school classes for pity sakes! What was it about him that made you think of him so constantly?
You sighed as you went strait to the table, not feeling very hungry.
Bella smiled at you. “Hello Jasmine.”
You blinked and looked at her. You hadn’t really been paying attention to what you were doing much. “Oh hey Bella…”
You grinned slightly before noticing the new additions to the group at the table.
There were two of them. Both of which you knew just by seeing them that they were vampires. The male had bronze brown with topaz eyes with dark shadows under them. The girl beside him had the same eyes and shadows but instead had short spiky black hair. Both were very pale in comparison to human skin.
You frowned when you noticed the two of them scrunch up their noses as if they smelt something bad. Then again, they probably did.
‘Of course, I happen to smell like a werewolf from living with some.’ You smirked and leaned back in your seat once you thought this.
Bella gave you a friendly hug before introducing you to the vampires. “This is Edward and Alice Cullen.”
“Hello.” Alice said, giving you a cheery smile despite her scrunched up nose.
Edward just nodded in acknowledgement.
You waved slightly with one hand. ‘At least if I can’t kill vampires I can sure annoy them.’
Edward frowned as he looked at you with a slightly annoyed look.
“So how was it at La Push?” Bella asked as she smiled.
You almost fell out of your chair at her question. You had finally gotten Jacob out of your head and now he was back in it because of that question.
“U-uh, it was fine…” You blushed as you righted yourself in your chair. “A lot of the guys there are giants.”
Bella laughed softly. “Who’d you meet down there? I know a few of the guys down there.”
Your blush deepened as you bit your lip. “I met Sam, Embry, Quil and Jacob.” You blushed further. You had held back from saying his name, knowing it would just make things worse.
Bella smiled at you. “I know them. My father and Jacob’s father always went fishing together during my summer visits. We became very good friends again pretty quick.”
You nodded slightly as your blush started to fade. Leaning back in your chair you smiled back at Bella. “You’re lucky to know him so well.”
Bella laughed softly. “You sound as if you want to get to know him as more than friends.”
You blushed again as you fell out of your chair in surprise. You glared at Edwards slightly as you heard his quiet snort of laughter.
Bella raised an eyebrow as she got up to help you back up. “Are you going to be okay?”
You nodded deftly as you accepted her help. “Yes, I’ll be fine. I didn’t fall on anything that would hurt to much.”
